(+Photos) Highlights from the Rotary Club of Eko Cosmopolitan Charter Presentation Ceremony

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, Rotarian Temitayo Ayorinde was officially installed as the charter president of the Rotary Club of Eko Cosmopolitan at Sailors Lounge, located at Plot 1, Block 12, Admiralty Road, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, where the club holds its weekly fellowship, Sunday precisely, at 4 pm.

The charter president and 26 founding members enthusiastically welcomed the pioneer District Governor (DG) of Rotary International District 9112, Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan, along with his spouse, Rotarian Tayo Adenekan, and the DG’s entourage, which included AG Rotarian Wilson Esangbedo (District Executive Secretary), PAG Olubunmi Taiwo (Chief of Staff), and AG Rotarian Adewale Abdul (Special Assistant), as they arrived for the official charter presentation and induction ceremony.

The induction ceremony was led by DG Rotarian Olufemi and was also attended by PDG Omotunde Lawson (fondly known as Koseleri), President Oluwasanu Afolabi of the Rotary Club of Gbagada-South, and other distinguished guests.

DG, Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan later presented the charter certificate to the newly established club, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Gbagada-South, with AG Demola Olutusin as its club adviser. Rotarian Olufemi expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club of Gbagada South—his own club—for their support. He stated, “I extend my congratulations to the Charter President, Rotarian Temitayo Ayorinde, as well as to the members of the club and the new club adviser, AG Demola Olutusin, who facilitated the chartering process. I also thank the Rotary Club of Gbagada South for sponsoring this initiative. Together, we continue to create the Magic of Rotary.”

Following these remarks, it was time for Charter President Rotarian Temitayo Ayorinde to lead the fellowship, a role she assumed flawlessly.

The establishment of the Rotary Club of Eko Cosmopolitan marks another significant achievement for Rotary International District 9112, as it welcomes a new club officially admitted to Rotary International on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, during the Magic of Rotary year. The club convenes every Sunday at 4 PM at the Sailors Lounge, located at Plot 1, Block 12, Admiralty Road, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
