District 9112 Rotakids Children’s Day Party Highlights
Rotarian Dr. Adebukunola Soile Balogun, the chair of the Rotakids Committee, along with her dedicated team, on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, fulfilled their promise of making the first edition of District 9112 Rotakids party an unforgettable experience.
The fun commenced right at the start of the event, and as the pioneer District Governor, Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan, called the program to order, and wished the children an enjoyable time, the excitement heightened. The first lady of Rotary International (RI) District 9112, Rotarian Tayo Adenekan was at the event, along with other distinguished guests.
Despite being the first edition, the event ensured that no child was left out, irrespective of the ticket-pass type. The children enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including a bouncing castle, dance around the chair game, and numerous playground facilities.
In terms of refreshments, there was an abundance of treats, including popcorn, cake, candy, ice cream, and plenty of food.
Of course, a highlight of the day was the party packs, which included refined gifts.
Additionally, each child was presented with a beautiful frame featuring a picture of themselves, adding a personal touch to their experience. It truly was a celebration packed with joy and fun.
There was also the pep talk, and this was provided by Rotarian Elizabeth Azubuike, who discussed etiquette and respect.
In her address, Chairman Dr. Adebukunola Soile Balogun expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the District Governor, Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan, the sponsors for their generous support, the committee members for their hard work, the parents for bringing their children, and most importantly, the wonderful children for participating.
Rotarian Dr. Adebukunola emphasized the vital role parents play in caring for, supporting, and protecting their children, affirming that every child holds great potential. She urged the community to come together to create a nurturing environment that fosters their success.
