DG “Rtn. Lanre Adedoyin” Speaks Highlights: July Edition
The first edition of the District Governor (DG) Speaks for the “Unite For Good” Rotary Year has concluded, with the District Governor Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, expressing heartfelt appreciation to all Rotarians for their unwavering support during his installation.
DG Rtn. Lanre acknowledged their dedication and efforts in boosting membership, which has resulted in the District growing from 2,398 members as of July 1, 2025, to 2,416 by July 29, 2025—a net gain of 18 members.
He also emphasized the vital role of the Rotary Foundation funds, regarded as the engine of Rotary. Additionally, he thanked the clubs he has visited so far for their warm welcomes and generosity.
The District Governor addressed several important matters, including the District Dues and Rotary International Dues, specifically noting that the 1st Semi-Annual Dues are due on or before September 15, 2025, while the 2nd Semi-Annual Dues are to be submitted by March 15, 2026.
DG Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin emphasized the necessity of submitting the Semi-Annual Dues by the deadline to be eligible for the Club Excellence Award. He also urged timely submission of data for the 2025-2026 District Directory to ensure its readiness on schedule. Furthermore, he called for continued support of the District.


In discussing the District’s upcoming activities, he encouraged Rotarians to actively engage and participate in these events. Scheduled activities include RYLA from August 3rd to 10th, 2025; a Public Image Seminar on August 26th, 2025; a Membership and New Club Development Seminar on August 21st, 2025; the Polio Plus Seminar on September 10th, 2025; and a Multi-Club Seminar set to take place between September and December. Additional events include an Evening with the District Governor on October 31st, 2025; The Rotary Foundation Seminar on November 6th, 2025; and various Learning Seminars/RLI.
Looking ahead to the Unite For Good Rotary Year, notable events include the Euro-Africa Summit in Brussels, Belgium, scheduled for September 23rd to 28th, 2025; the West Africa Project Fair in Togo from November 9th to 12th, 2025; the All Nigeria Rotary Conference in Port Harcourt from November 20th to 23rd, 2025; the Rotary Sport Festival (ROSFEST) from February 9th to 14th, 2026; The Rotary Foundation Fundraising Dinner on February 8th, 2026; DISCON 2026 from May 22nd to 25th, 2025; and the RI Convention in Taipei, Taiwan, from June 13th to 17th, 2026.
