Highlights from DG “Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin” Speaks 2.0

DG Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin commenced the DG Speaks program promptly at 12 PM, the scheduled start time, encouraging all Rotarians to make an effort to join early, as future programs will consistently begin on time.

In his welcome address, the DG expressed his gratitude to all Rotarians and clubs for their contributions, which have greatly benefited the District.

Following his opening remarks, DG Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin addressed several key topics:

Membership: There has been an increase in membership from 2,361 to 2,438, equating to a net gain of 77 members.

Club Visits: As of August 24, 2025, the DG has visited 17 clubs.

Directory He requested the submission of data for the 2025/2026 District Directory.

Rotary Foundation: The DG stressed the importance of increasing contributions to the Rotary Foundation.

District Dues: He urged Rotarians not only to pay their Rotary International (RI) dues but also the District dues. The deadline for the 1st Semi-Annual Dues is on or before September 15, 2025, while the 2nd Semi-Annual Dues should be paid on or before March 15, 2026.

The District Governor, Rtn. Lanre, discussed several upcoming activities, including the District’s Learning Seminars, such as RLI and MultiClub. Events like the Public Image Seminar scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, August 26, the Polio Plus Seminar on September 10, an Evening with the District Governor on October 31, and The Rotary Foundation Seminar on November 6 were also mentioned by the DG.

– RI Convention in Taipei, Taiwan from June 13-17, 2026
