The District 9112 Rotary Sports Festival (ROSFEST) 2026 Media Parley/Flag off ceremony that was held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 captured the audience’s anticipation for the main event coming up in February 2026.Chairman of the ROSFEST Committee, PP Rtn. Alozie Nsirimobi, expressed his joy about the festival’s growth, noting that its the third edition since inception and the second under District 9112. PP Alozie shared his vision for the festival to evolve into not just an inter-district event but a global celebration and a gift to humanity. He extended heartfelt appreciation to all sponsors, district leaders, Rotarians, committee members, and supporters for their continuous commitment.District Governor (DG), Rtn. Lanre Adedoyin highlighted the festival’s importance for membership engagement and retention, emphasizing that sports unite us and contribute to meaningful causes.A major highlight of the event was the unveiling of the ROSFEST 2026 logo and the lighting of the torch by DG Lanre Adedoyin.
Additionally, a photo frame was presented to IPDG Femi Adenekan, featuring a memorable image of him in sportswear and foot on the ball from last year’s festival.The event brought together several top district leaders, including DGE Layi Abidoye, DGN Uyi Sowobi, DGE D9111 Bukola Bakare, and PDGs Ifeyinwa Ejezie Rita (aka Iya Ibeji), Omotunde Lawson (aka Koseleri), and Bola Oyebade among others.
The DG’s Core Team, including the District Executive Secretary PP Omotunde Olaleye, District Treasurer AG Doyin Odutola, Chief of Staff PAG Akeem Sunmonu, and Special Assistant PP Desmond Otakponmwen were well represented.
The Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission was ably represented by the Director of Sports.The parley, which was held at the Rotary Centre, Keystone Bank Rotary Hall of Fame, Ikeja, G.R.A, was anchored by Past President Rtn. Emeka Ezeh, of the Rotary Club of Magodo Central.
