Highlights On District 9112 MultiClub Learning Seminar (Zones 1 and 2)
The District 9112 Zonal Multiclub Learning Seminar for Zones 1 and 2 took place on Saturday, 6 September 2025, at Dowen College, located at 18 Adebayo Doherty Road, Lekki Phase I, Lagos, Nigeria.
During the seminar, the Multiclub Committee members led by Chairman, PAG Sunday Oguntade, awarded Dr. Olumide Philips, the chairman of Dowen College, for his unwavering support of the program over the years.
The award was presented to him by the District Governor, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, on behalf of the committee.
Additionally, the committee honored several Rotarians as “MultiClub Outstanding Personalities (MOP).” (View them here.)
In his welcome address, the Multiclub Chairman PAG Sunday Oguntade emphasized that Zones 1 and 2 encompass rotary clubs located on the Lagos Island part of the state.
PAG Oguntade stressed that the seminar provides Rotarians with a valuable opportunity to network across different clubs, broaden their understanding of Rotary and relevant issues, and recognize the privilege and responsibility that comes with being Rotary leaders.
The MultiClub Chairman extended his thanks to the District Governor, facilitators, the District Learning Committee, the MultiClub Learning Seminar Committee, and others for their unwavering support throughout this initiative.
This year’s theme for the MultiClub Learning Seminar is “Unite For Good: Transforming Communities Together.”
The seminar featured insightful presentations from distinguished speakers, including PDGs Wale Ogunbadejo and Jide Akeredolu, who spoke on “Membership: A Great Pillar Of Rotary” and “Rotary Foundation Basics and Fundraising,” respectively.
Additional presentations included Rotarian Olu Akanbi and PAG Ehi Braimah discussing “C of O Deed of Assignment and Governor’s Consent: Making Sense of It,” and “Enhancing the Public Image of Rotary,” respectively.
Beyond the valuable insights provided by these speakers, the District Governor, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin also shared updates on district activities and forthcoming events.
The District Governor’s core team was also present at the event which included District Executive Secretary PP Omotunde Olaleye, District Treasurer AG Doyin Odutola, Chief of Staff PAG Akeem Sunmonu, and Special Assistant PP Desmond Otakponmwen.
The successful event was expertly anchored by AG Rotarian Wale Abdul of the Rotary Club of Yaba Courteville.
