Official Visit of the Rotary Club of Royal Metropolitan, Lagos

On Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, the Rotary Club of Royal Metro, Lagos, led by Charter President Rotarian Prince Awogboro Moses Olukunle and members were at  Jonathan B. Majiyagbe House, District 9112, Rotary Center in Ikeja. The District Governor’s visit was held there.

The District Governor (DG), Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan, emphasized that the DG visit aims to strengthen clubs, evaluate their capabilities, and ensure alignment with Rotary’s goals. He stressed the importance of connection among members, stating that unity fosters a strong family atmosphere.

DG Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan stated that for a club to achieve standard status, the club must maintain at least 25 members. Rotarian Adenekan encouraged comprehensive membership training and attendance at the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) to enhance Rotary knowledge, noting that previous experience as a Past President isn’t required to be part of it.

The president, Rotarian Awogboro, assured the DG that the club was nurturing interested members. AG Basirat Giwa is the club adviser to this community-based club in Oregun.
