In his address, District Governor Rotarian Olufemi Adenekan urged District officers to embrace roles they can genuinely fulfill. He stated, “I encourage you to take on the responsibilities you are capable of handling. While many Rotarians have accepted positions this Rotary Year, some have not effectively completed their duties. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to those who have contributed this year, no matter the scale of their efforts. If you find yourself unable to fulfill your role, please communicate this to the District Governor Elect (DGE), Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin so that he can assign you a more suitable task. Responsibilities will not be overlooked, and we can still achieve our collective goals. We are here to support one another and promote a spirit of collaboration.”

In a similar tone, the DGE, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin introduced by PP. Omotunde Olaleye, stated, “This is a wake-up call for all of us. If you are not prepared to serve, DG Adenekan has made it very clear: you are welcome to approach me privately and let me know if you feel you cannot meet the expectations. I will respect that. This is not about personal relationships; it’s about our commitment to our work. We have a legacy to uphold, and we must ensure that legacy continues to thrive.”

The video also features the keynote speech by Past Rotary International Vice President (PRIVP) Yinka Babalola.
