1. Francesco Arezzo will officially take office as the Rotary International president for the 2025/2026 term on July 1, 2025, following the unexpected resignation of Mário César Martins de Camargo due to health and personal issues.
2. He was selected by the Board of Directors from candidates previously considered by the Nominating Committee in August 2023.
3. Arezzo has been a member of the Rotary Club of Ragusa for over 30 years, a club established on November 5, 1956.
4. Francesco has held various leadership positions, including vice chair of the Joint Strategic Planning Committee and Rotary International director.
Additionally, he has acted as an International Assembly Learning Facilitator, President’s Representative, and Assistant Rotary Membership Coordinator, while also participating as both a committee member and chair on numerous boards. Notably, he chaired an International Convention Committee and led the editorial board of Rotary Italia during the Rotary year of 2009–2010.
5. He is a Major Donor and Benefactor of The Rotary Foundation, along with his spouse, Anna Maria.
